Anna Lou “Ann”

Ann was the youngest child born to A.P. Miller and Louella Wynn Miller  on January 24, 1921 in Cooper, Texas.

Upon  graduating from Cooper High School, Ann attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas majoring in Music.

Her first job was as a teacher in the Talco schools and then moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.   While there she eloped with long time local boy, Jeter Nimmo who was scheduled to be deployed to Europe where he served in the Army Air Corps.  Just before he left, they wed in Kansas.   Ann stayed in Oklahoma until Jeter was discharged from the Army.

They moved to Austin, Texas where Jeter studied engineering at the University of Texas.  Upon graduation, the two moved to Richardson, Texas and Jeter  joined his sister-in-law, Cindy at the Ford Motor Plant as a quality control engineer where he stayed until 1969 when the plant closed.  During this time, Nancy was born in 1952  and Caroline Elizabeth was born in 1958.

In the  mid sixties, Ann and Jeter bought an acreage just outside of Van, Texas where they built their dream home.   Ann taught music for the Van school system as well as playing the piano at the Baptist Church where they belonged in Van.  She passed away on July9, 1997.
